Ford F-150 AT44

The Arctic Trucks design of this vehicle starts around fitting the 44inch tire by re-designing/building the body and partly the frame. With 30 years of experience in rebuilding vehicles for larger tires Arctic Trucks starts with some fundamental design guidelines, one of which is to keep the center of gravity low, but this again is normally the most challenging and the most expensive part of the conversion. The base vehicle in these photos is a F150 Lariat SuperCrew 3.5 ecoboost but same conversion will work on most other 4×4 versions of the F150. Holding back using the Raptor model is the AT44 will exceeding the maximum street legal width in Iceland. The tires on this vehicle are specially designed for good flotation on snow but still keeping good performance on highways. The rubber compound it tailored to colder climate. The tires are co-developed with Nokian Tyres in Finland which excel in winter tires.
