As 2025 marks four decades since the light-duty Prado first joined Toyota’s legendary Land Cruiser family, Arctic Trucks, the global authority in extreme mobility, is once again redefining what it means to be both “cool” and capable. Their latest creation, the highly anticipated Land Cruiser 250 / Prado AT37, is set to make a powerful impression.
Arctic Trucks has a long and storied history with the Land Cruiser name. From record-breaking expeditions to pioneering firsts in the harshest conditions on Earth, the Land Cruiser has been an integral part of the brand’s success.
Developed through close collaboration between Arctic Trucks International in Iceland, their UK team in the heart of “Motorsport Valley”, and Toyota Africa distributor CFAO, the AT37 combines decades of off-road expertise with cutting-edge British engineering. The result is a vehicle with the rugged pedigree to thrive in any environment, from frozen tundra to searing desert.
Freyr Þórsson, R&D Manager at Arctic Trucks International, explained that building the project in Motorsport Valley allowed them to work closely and directly with a range of expert suppliers. The hands-on approach has also led to performance gains.

THE LAND CRUISER 250 / PRADO AT37
Backed by more than 35 years’ experience in the world’s most demanding conditions, the Arctic Trucks Toyota Land Cruiser 250 / Prado AT37 has been re-engineered from the ground up for maximum mobility – yet remains perfectly practical for daily use.
Named for its towering 37-inch tyres, the AT37 will be available in most markets with a choice of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 or Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tyres, offering exceptional grip, durability, and longevity. These are paired with Arctic Trucks’ newly designed retro-inspired ‘Heritage’ forged alloy wheels, combining improved strength-to-weight performance with a dual-valve setup for precise tyre pressure control.
Other enhancements include robust, extended-profile side steps crafted from extruded aluminium, with high-grip rubber inserts and replaceable end caps. Inside and out, the AT37 is finished with distinctive Arctic Trucks black-and-lava detailing – from the wheels and bodywork to the gear selector, dash trim, sill plates, and premium mats.
At the rear, a discreet 2-inch multifunction receiver hitch provides quick-fit adaptability for towing and winching. You can also add accessories such as gear racks, steps, or even a barbecue, making it ready for weekend escapes or extreme expeditions.
Available from Q2 2025 as either an official dealership-supplied model or direct customer conversion in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa, the AT37 continues Toyota’s legacy of capability.
